Responsibilities
The role involves proactively running hands-on business development projects that include the following responsibilities:
- Planning, research and analysis using information gathered in Korean and English from the internet, phone calls and face-to-face meetings
- Identifying, contacting, meeting, and presenting to Korean customers/partners
- Driving business development discussions
- Managing the whole business development process from initial lead generation to negotiation, closing deals, and account management
- Interpretation and technical liaison between client and customer
- Writing regular meeting notes and reports in English for clients
Experience
- Native or near-native English with strong oral and written presentation skills
- Fluent spoken and written business Korean
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in Korea
In addition, candidates with the following experience will be given preference:
- Experience in sales/business development in Korea
- Experience working in technology, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology
- A degree in science, engineering or business
- Strong technical skills
