Open Innovation - Internship (USA)

 

Background

This program is designed to provide recent graduates, or students currently enrolled at accredited educational institutions, with work experience in an international business environment.

You would work alongside our North American open innovation team on projects for corporate Japanese clients. As a member of our open innovation group, you will be assigned to various projects and work directly with our senior consultants, where you will help build partnerships between global companies and technology startups across North America.

Intralink America has offices in Silicon Valley, Boston, and LA, but we are willing to accept remote applicants.

 

Open Innovation - Internship (USA)

Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with a director-level consultant, who will act as a mentor for the duration of the internship
  • You will gain hands-on experience by working on a variety of projects, potentially including:
    • Researching technology trends that may present a significant disruptive threat or opportunity to our clients
    • Assessing startup companies across industry sectors and technologies for fit with client technology areas and other needs
    • Assisting in the preparation of reports summarizing our findings
  • Our projects vary from month to month, and you can expect to be involved in multiple types of projects for different clients

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelors or master’s degree (or planned degree) in business, marketing, international relations, and/or technology/engineering (EE, CS, CE, etc.)
  • Organized and self-sufficient
  • Demonstrated interest in technology and business
  • Broad understanding of technology trends across multiple verticals
  • Ability to rapidly turn around research projects
  • Not afraid to ask questions
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with Japan or Japanese language skills are a bonus
