The Canadian Embassy in Korea asked us to organise a promotional seminar and investment matchmaking session for ten Canadian municipal economic development agencies visiting Seoul. The objective was to raise the profile of these municipalities as a destination for foreign direct investment through a targeted outreach initiative.
Intralink spent time with the embassy and municipal agencies to understand their respective value propositions and agree key target criteria.
Based on this, we generated a long list of several hundred potential investors across multiple sectors, and through a series of calls and meetings identified a final list of qualified companies to invite to the seminar and attend relevant B2B meetings.
We secured 75 attendees and arranged over one hundred B2B meetings – twice the agreed target. We had five team members attend the event to oversee the logistics, facilitate translation and provide commercial guidance for future inward investments.
