Our relationship with Florida-based biotech pioneer Dyadic Applied BioSolutions has just been extended to support the company’s expansion in the UK and mainland Europe, following six months of successful work to strengthen its presence in Japan and South Korea.
Dyadic develops precision-engineered, animal-free proteins and enzymes for the life sciences, food and nutrition and industrial sectors.
The company has already engaged a range of potential partners and customers across Europe and sees significant potential for its technologies in the region. It’s now looking to deepen those relationships while developing new commercial opportunities.
Following the success of our teams’ work in Japan and South Korea after our appointment last November – with considerably heightened market interest achieved and several deals in the pipeline – Dyadic believes that, with our established networks and sector expertise in Europe, we’re well placed to accelerate its growth across this region as well.
The company aims to introduce two high-value products to the European market: DNase 1 (RNase-free), an enzyme for biologics and mRNA manufacturing, and Human Transferrin, a recombinant form of transferrin widely used in research and cell culture media for biopharmaceutical production.
Our European team will run a targeted business development campaign to identify, prioritise and engage potential partners and distributors for Dyadic. Our focus will be on European reagent distributors, alongside companies in the pharma and biotech sectors, working with Dyadic’s existing contacts as well as seeking new direct supply relationships and platform licensing opportunities.
“We see significant opportunities in Europe for our commercial recombinant products – including DNase I and Human Transferrin – as well as opportunities for broader strategic collaborations involving strain licensing, platform access and custom protein development programmes.”
He added: “Following the strong engagement and growing commercial interest in our products generated through Intralink’s support in Japan and South Korea, we believe their deep sector expertise and established European networks make them the ideal partner to help expand our footprint across this region, too.
“We look forward to building new relationships with distributors, manufacturers and biotech innovators seeking next-generation recombinant production solutions.”
