New Berlin office to help DACH firms expand in Asia

New Berlin office to help DACH firms expand in Asia

This week, we’ve opened an office in Berlin to help German, Swiss and Austrian startups and SMEs grow their business in Asia - and Pablo Nicolitz has joined as our first team member in Germany.

Europe’s DACH region is home to many pioneering businesses, especially in automotive, electronics, software, medtech, life sciences and manufacturing. There’s significant demand for technologies in these fields from corporations across Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia, so this was a logical choice for our next European base – with Berlin standing out as a vibrant innovation hub.

We’re happy to welcome Pablo Nicolitz as the first employee in our new office.

Born in Brazil, Pablo is a dual German-Brazilian citizen who’s been living in Germany for the last 10 years and describes himself as “an internationalist by training and tech enthusiast by nature”.

He has a Master’s degree from Germany’s Otto-von-Guericke Magdeburg University and is fluent in German, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Before joining us, Pablo worked in business development for multinational companies including the Sao Paulo-German Chamber of Commerce, Aon, IBM and Accenture. He also brings experience of initiatives to help German and Brazilian companies enter China.

Michal Witkowski, European Regional Director, said, “I’m delighted that Pablo has joined us to help DACH-based companies expand in Asia. Such is the pace of innovation in the region – and appetite for western tech from Asia – that we plan to grow the team in Berlin to cover other key growth sectors, in particular medtech and the life sciences.”
