We have helped Amsterdam-based software testing tech provider Solid Sands to secure a partnership with Korean IT company KMDATA to support Korean companies developing software across safety-critical industries including automotive and rail.

Solid Sands provides testing, qualification and verification tools for C and C++ compilers and standard libraries, helping organisations validate software components used in safety-critical systems where reliability and compliance are essential.

The Dutch company commissioned us last year to assess the Korean market, identify potential customers and explore partnerships with IT companies and system integrators.

Our Seoul team found strong interest in Solid Sands’ solutions, while also highlighting the importance of Korean partners in a market where companies typically rely on domestic IT providers to validate and qualify software components.

We assessed potential partners based on their sector knowledge, customer relationships, commercial potential and technical capabilities.

We also reviewed business-model fit, while helping both Solid Sands and the potential partners to establish trust and accountability.

Among the companies we analysed, KMDATA stood out for its technical expertise and its understanding of Solid Sands’ target sectors. We then worked with both teams to explore the potential partnership in greater detail, helping to align their capabilities, commercial objectives and expectations.

The partnership with KMDATA now provides Solid Sands with an effective route to build relationships within South Korea’s advanced digital economy and strengthen its position in the country’s safety-critical software market.

Marianne Damstra, CEO of Solid Sands, said: “South Korea is an important market for us, as it has a strong technology sector and is making significant progress in safety-critical industries. KMDATA gives us the local expertise and relationships to engage with this market effectively.

“Intralink was instrumental in identifying the right partner and guiding us through all the commercial and technical considerations. Their local knowledge and hands-on approach gave us the clarity and confidence to agree a partnership we know will help us make big steps forward in the Korean market.”
