We met the King! - Intralink

Following our recent win of a King’s Award for Enterprise, our communications director, Tariq Khwaja, had the privilege of meeting His Majesty The King in the wonderful setting of Windsor Castle.

Tariq represented us at a Royal Reception for winners of the Award, mingling with Princess Anne, The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and other dignitaries and award holders.

The King took a particular interest in our business. Tariq explained how we help companies expand overseas, especially in Asia. The King talked about the difficulty of securing international deals – and the patience that must be needed. This is true, of course, but Tariq was able to tell him we have highly talented people in each market who speak the language, understand the culture and have the corporate connections to open doors for our clients.

We won our King’s Award for doing exactly this – helping our clients win customers overseas – as well as for growing our own business internationally. Having started out as a UK-focused consultancy, we’ve greatly expanded over the years to support businesses and government agencies in more than 40 countries, with 80% of our services now delivered to clients beyond the UK. 

The King was intrigued to hear all of this – and wished us well with our continued growth!
