We’ve won a King’s Award for Enterprise!

We’re thrilled to have won the highly sought-after King’s Award for Enterprise – for “outstanding success” in helping companies across the world to expand their business overseas.

Our Award, in the category of international trade, is one of only 116 being granted UK-wide by His Majesty King Charles. It follows our win of The Queen’s Award in 2018, as well as a UK Government Made in the UK, Sold to the World Award and two US President’s Awards for Export Service.

Established in 1965 by Royal Warrant – originally as The Queen’s Award for Enterprise – this is the UK’s most prestigious business accolade and a globally-recognised symbol of achievement. It celebrates “business excellence,” and we’ve been told we’ve won because we “demonstrated outstanding success” in the field of overseas trade.

The Award will be presented to us in our Oxfordshire HQ by one of the King’s Lord-Lieutenants, and we’ve been invited to a Royal Reception at Windsor Castle. We’re also entitled to use the esteemed King’s Award emblem for the next five years.

As part of the selection process for the Award, the assessors probed our company’s history and our approach to helping our clients to expand internationally. They looked at our vision, and what sets us apart.

They also undertook a rigorous analysis of our financial performance to verify that we’ve achieved “outstanding continuous growth over the last six years,” and scrutinised our corporate social responsibility.

We were able to demonstrate that our company excels in international trade in two respects: in the way our own business has expanded overseas, and in the way we help our clients to do the same.

We explained our distinctive approach of not just developing market expansion strategies but playing a hands-on role in helping our clients secure commercial deals with international customers and partners. We described how we’ve helped 1,500 organisations generate more than £600 million in overseas revenues.

We outlined the breadth of countries to which we export our services. Last year alone, we helped companies from more than 20 nations grow their international sales, including ones from the UK, US, Canada, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, UAE, Israel, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Norway, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland.

And we highlighted the work we’re doing for government agencies – especially in the United States, the UK and the Middle East – to support their trade and investment initatives.

Our CEO, Greg Sutch, said: “We’re over the moon to have won a King’s Award for Enterprise.

“It’s a fantastic endorsement of the talent and dedication of our staff, as well as the loyalty of our clients, and the success we’ve achieved together in the realm of international trade. It’s also a great recognition of the way our own business has grown over the last six years and our ambitious plans to keep that up – plans that we’ve taken significantly forward in the last month alone with our expansion into Southeast Asia and India.

“We’re excited to have been granted the King’s Award and will be displaying the emblem with great pride.”
