Highlights from ChinaJoy 2023 – Asia's largest gaming show

Last week, our China team visited ChinaJoy – Asia's largest gaming show.

The show, which returned to China for the first time in two years, attracted nearly 500 exhibitors from 22 countries, demonstrated China's global ambitions in digital entertainment and e-gaming.

In addition to serving as a chance for companies to connect and collaborate, the expo showcased many of the latest trends and advancements in technology, from AI-enabled NPCs (non-playable characters) to augmented reality.

In line with China’s message that it is open for business, another one of the show's key trends was facilitating cross-border payment services, especially in-game purchases.

Watch this two-minute video, narrated by our China specialist Stewart Randall, to find out more.
