Our US-based energy client, Enginuity Power Systems, has formalised a landmark agreement with Kiturami Group, South Korea’s largest manufacturer of water boilers, following a partner development programme run by our team in Seoul.
The partnership enables Enginuity to extend its product range by launching Kiturami’s ultra-efficient 100 kW and 200 kW combined heat and power (CHP) systems for commercial use in North America later this year.

Founded in Virginia in 2015, Enginuity is an innovator in clean, multi-fuel, CHP systems for homes, shops, farms, hotels and similar settings. Its compact systems replace traditional furnaces and water heaters while integrating with other technologies – delivering heat and power with high energy efficiency.
Recognising South Korea’s global leadership in heat and power technologies, Enginuity began working with us in 2021 to explore collaborations with Korean companies which could accelerate the growth of its commercial business in the USA and Canada.
Our team in Seoul soon identified Kiturami as a suitable partner. With annual revenues exceeding US$1 billion, the company is well-known in Korea for manufacturing high-performance, energy-efficient CHP systems and related technologies for commercial use.
During the first phase of the programme, we worked closely with both companies to build trust, align interests and lay the groundwork for the partnership agreement that went on to be signed in 2023.
We then played a pivotal role in guiding Enginuity and Kiturami through the complex certification process necessary to introduce Kiturami’s units to the North American market. This involved a series of engineering adaptations, along with comprehensive emissions and performance testing to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.
The good news is that certification is now complete – Enginuity will officially launch the products in the country under its own brand in a few months’ time.

Tony Uttley, CEO of Enginuity, said: “Intralink’s deep understanding of Korean business culture was key to establishing trust and getting our agreement with Kiturami over the line efficiently and effectively.
“Adapting Kiturami’s CHP systems to meet US standards was also a complicated process and, again, Intralink’s Korea team was instrumental in supporting us, enabling fast, clear communication and smooth execution. Their support was critical to the success of this project.”
This draws our partnership development programme for Enginuity to a close and we wish both companies great success in their future collaborations.
