Intralink marks decade developing and driving Asia mobile comms strategies

Oxford, UK — Since 2001, Intralink has worked with more than two dozen European and North American mobile technology companies to develop and implement business development strategies for the East Asia markets of Japan, China, Taiwan and Korea. Starting with companies like Ecrio, which secured a significant investment from Japan's NTT DoCoMo, and Cambridge Positioning Systems, which was acquired by the UK's Cambridge Silicon Radio, Intralink has gone on to execute strategies for many successful companies like 2ergo, Acision, Opencloud, Inmarsat and Ubiquisys. During that time, Intralink has worked with a broad range of mobile technologies, from Femtocells, mobile messaging platforms and mobile contents backup, to base station amplifier technology and solutions for network timing and convergence, mobile TV and handset UIs.

2011 marks Intralink's tenth year at the Mobile World Congress (formerly 3GSM). Leading up to the show, Richard Staveley, VP Sales for Intralink client and leading Femtocell company Ubiquisys, said, "Through their Surrogate Sales Program™, Intralink gave us an immediate presence in Japan and China, a strong and experienced BD team, and complete flexibility and control. When we first started 4 years ago there literally was no market for femtocells anywhere in the world, but Intralink helped us nurture leading prospects, articulate the femtocell value proposition, and navigate the complex path from MOU through to deal closure. We have now secured the world’s first femtocell deployment with Softbank in Japan and this has underpinned the development of our whole business both in Japan and globally.”

This year Intralink will be represented at Mobile World Congress by CEO Greg Sutch, SVP Alan Mockridge and Business Development Director Alex Gover. Many of the company's past and present clients, such as BT, InterDigital, Mirics Semiconductor, Nujira, P2i Labs and others, will also be there.
