Head of Medtech and Life Sciences
As Head of Medtech & Life Sciences practice in Japan, you’ll be working with our international clients from sectors such as biotech, medical devices, IVD and digital health.
You’ll be managing the Medtech & Life Sciences (MTLS) team over the entire market entry, sales and licensing cycle – from initial lead or partner long list generation to outreach, negotiation, closing deals, and account management.
You’ll be leading, coaching, supporting and training the MTLS team as they identify, meet, pitch to and gathering crucial feedback from our clients’ potential customers and partners in Japan, developing a sales funnel and fine-tuning the market strategy.
You’ll be working with a broad range of clients seeking to bring their technologies and services to Japan, provide them with key progress indicators and be responsible for overall project delivery of MTLS projects.
Business Development Director - Corporate Development
As BD Director, you’ll be interacting with top global Japanese corporates on a daily basis through emails, calls, F2F meetings, events and trade show visits. You’ll be identifying your targets and building relationships, listening to their challenges, developing proposals and closing deals to attain your sales target.
You’ll be engaging with the head offices of Japanese firms. North America
Research Analyst - Open Innovation
To support our innovation consulting work for Japanese clients as well as our group marketing activities, we are seeking a full-time Innovation Research Analyst.
Your work will involve: undertaking research and ‘technology scouting’ for our Japanese corporate clients, compiling regular reports (in English) for submission to our clients, working with clients to help them engage and collaborate with potential technology partners as well as other general project delivery and marketing-related tasks.
You should have a university degree, worked in or with Japan and speak intermediate-to-advanced Japanese. Priority will be given to candidates with experience and/or strong interest in technology, including information technology, and with creative and/or copywriting skills.
Business Development Manager, Trade & Investment
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and energetic candidate with excellent presentation, written, analytical and networking skills to join our business development team to promote the company’s services in Asia to North American EDOs.
You should be familiar with responding to federal and state contractor RFPs, as well as be able to quickly grasp the commercial and (technical) value proposition of companies looking to export across a broad range of sectors, and confidently recommend commercial targets and market entry strategies for Asia.
The position is a challenging one that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to network with EDOs and SMEs across North America, as well as gain valuable skills and career-building experience.
Business Development Manager - India Projects
You will be responsible for identifying, engaging and securing new clients to help them expand internationally, with a strong emphasis on directing business to our fast-growing India operations (New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore).
You’ll be engaging daily with North America's leading tech innovators through various channels including email, phone calls, meetings, industry events and symposiums. You’ll be identifying your targets and building relationships, developing proposals and closing deals, as well as engaging clients post-sale.
You’ll often be talking to founders, CEOs, and CTOs. You don’t need a deep technical background, but you should be able to quickly grasp the commercial and technical value propositions of companies across a range of high-growth technologies and sectors including AI, renewable energy, electronics, software, and automotive.
Director, Trade & Investment (Canada)
You’ll be working with our North American client, the Department of Commerce of a major US state on the eastern seaboard with strong Canadian ties.
You’ll be the on-the-ground representative of the investment promotion and trade office, with the overarching goals of 1) attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) from Canada, 2) developing trade between the state and Canadian firms, and 3) promoting awareness of your client’s region in Canada.
You’ll be leading the entire investment cycle – from initial lead generation to outreach, negotiation, closing deals, and account management.
In your day-to-day, you’ll be identifying, meeting, pitching to and gathering crucial feedback from your client’s potential partners in Canada, developing a funnel and fine-tuning the market strategy.
