Cofaco produces and sells locally-sourced canned fish. The company has been selling its products in Portugal for 50 years and into other global markets for the last 20 years. We were asked to assess the Chinese and Korean markets, viability for market entry and the main channels in each region.
We approached a wide range of ecosystem players, including importers, wholesalers, supermarkets, associations and regulators. We also identified, evaluated and qualified potential distribution partners.
Intralink identified an opportunity in Korea and made recommendations as to the right distribution partner and market entry strategy. The objective was to place its products in Korea’s largest chain of hypermarkets, Emart.
