Teconnex is a UK-based manufacturer of customized jointing solutions for heavy duty vehicles, engines and exhaust systems. The company appointed Intralink to secure customers in China to underpin potential investment in a local manufacturing plant.
Intralink approached the leading OEMs and tiers in China to drive sales under the assumption that Teconnex’s China factory would shortly be operational.
In parallel to our business development activities, we also identified and conducted due diligence with potential joint venture partners and performed a detailed risk analysis on localization options (JV, WFOE, competitor acquisition, etc.).
We have secured long-term supply deals worth tens of millions of dollars with dozens of leading domestic and multinational companies in China. We also successfully negotiated the commercialframework and Heads of Term for Teconnex’s China JV, which became fully operational in 2012.
Intralink is now driving sales in Japan on behalf of the China JV. We have already secured supply contracts with companies like Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Komatsu, Tenneco, Isuzu, and Mitsubishi Fuso, to name a few.
