Colorado State appoints Intralink for China and Taiwan

Silicon Valley, California — Intralink America, Inc. has been appointed by the State of Colorado’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) as its Global Consultant Partner in China and Taiwan. Under the initiative, which is part of a statewide advanced industries strategy, Intralink will connect Colorado companies to commercial opportunities in these key Asian markets.

“Within the next five years, 95 percent of the world’s consumers and 87 percent of the world’s economic growth will take place outside of the United States,” said Sandi Moilanen, International Division Director of OEDIT. “With this in mind, we have identified Intralink as having all the right credentials to assist Colorado businesses with exploiting export opportunities in these important markets.”

The State of Colorado is renowned for its advanced industries in the fields of aerospace, bioscience, electronics, energy and natural resources, infrastructure engineering, manufacturing, and technology and information. OEDIT and Intralink will collaborate to offer market research, partner identification and in-country visit support services to small and medium-sized enterprises in these industries with the aim of promoting growth opportunities and increasing the state's global competitiveness.

Alan Mockridge, President Intralink America, said, “We are very excited to be working with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade and to be supporting the promotion of Colorado companies in China and Taiwan. Colorado is globally recognized as a center for technology and innovation, particularly in the environmental and clean energy sectors where there is strong demand for solutions to combat growing pollution concerns in these markets.”

The State of Colorado is the latest government to appoint Intralink in a market support role in Asia. The company has also delivered projects for Enterprise Ireland, the organization which supports the development and growth of Irish enterprises in world markets, and works for Britain’s UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to source venture capital from leading Asian corporates for UK-based technology start-ups. Intralink is also an official partner of UKTI’s Doing Business in China and Export to Japan initiatives.
