We're excited to see our former client Ceres reach a major commercial milestone.
Its fuel cell technology has now entered mass production in South Korea and is set to help meet the country’s fast-growing need to run AI data centres and produce commercial and industrial power.
Based on solid oxide fuel cell technology developed in the UK by Ceres, the clean power systems are now being made by Korean energy giant Doosan Fuel Cell at its new, state-of-the-art, 50 MW facility. Initial sales are expected before the end of the year.

This is the first time a Ceres licensing partner has taken its technology into full-scale production and is set to play an important role in Korea’s drive to decarbonise its economy. And we’re proud to have played a role in this by providing early market entry support to Ceres within Korea.
Our Asia MD, Jonathan Cleave, said: “It’s fantastic to see Doosan mass produce fuel cells using Ceres’ game-changing technology. This is a powerful example of how British cleantech companies can scale globally – and of our team’s ability to help companies succeed in complex Asian markets.”
