Client stories
Programmatic platform
New to the Japanese and Korean markets, dataxu (now part of Roku.tv) needed quickly to forge relationships with stakeholders and carve out a niche in the local ad industry.
Being the ‘first mover’, the opportunity was sizeable but we needed to educate the industry on the novel approach of using machine learning to buy digital media.
Having done the groundwork and secured initial business, we went on to help refine dataxu's regional strategy - which continues to this day to be driven from its APAC HQ in Singapore.
AI company
"Emotion AI as a service" was a brand new concept to many of the companies we engaged in Japan – so awareness raising and education were the first hurdles.
Despite that, we quickly engaged all the key players and secured several paid PoCs to demonstrate how Realeyes’ emotion analytics can optimise promotional content.
With this strong pipeline of top-tier clients and prospects, Realeyes was ready to set up a Japanese entity and hire a local team to solidify its presence in the region – a process we guided them through from beginning to end.
Indoor positioning
Having concluded a partnership with Baidu in China, the Silicon Valley startup appointed us to replicate the approach in Japan.
Needing a sizeable investment into the tech and infrastructure required, Yahoo! Japan proved the most suitable and capable partner.
We struck a multi-million-dollar deal that led to the implementation of our client’s technology at train stations nationwide. A year later, Yahoo! Japan became a shareholder and a board member of Indoor Atlas.
