Japan and Korea teams put in the miles for charity

Japan and Korea teams put in the miles for charity

What a superb effort from members of our Japan and Korea offices, who put on their trainers and took part in charity running events in November.

Eight members of our Tokyo team completed a challenge to run or walk at least 55km during the month. This was in support of Mirai no Mori – a charity that creates life-changing outdoor programmes for abused, neglected and orphaned children in Japan.

The fundraising initiative was organised by our long-term partner – Japan-based philanthropists Knights in White Lycra (KIWL), who’ve raised more than £600,000 (115 million yen) for disadvantaged children over the last ten years. By the end of the month, our team had racked up a total of 246 miles.

If you’d like to donate to this meaningful cause, please do so via our fundraising page.

Meanwhile, at the start of November, 16 members of our Korea office took part in the 2023 Bam Island Environmental Marathon. This was a 5 km running event to raise money for the conservation of Bam Island, a valuable wetland and wildlife ecosystem on the Han River in Seoul.

The funds raised by the team will go to ecological restoration projects and management of the island.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and raised funds for some excellent causes!
