Project Manager/Project Coordinator (China)

If so, you may be the person we are looking for as we are recruiting international investment promotion managers to work with our government clients.

You’ll work alongside a diverse group of over 180 consultants with a deep specialism in international markets, market expansion strategy and cross-border business development.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be representing the investment arms of foreign governments with the goal of designing and implementing the right strategy to attract investment from China.

You will need to:

• Represent the government clients we work with
  
  

• Identify, contact, meet and present to potential Chinese investors
  
  

• Plan, research and analyse using information gathered in Chinese and English, and engage in phone calls and face-to-face meetings
  
  

• Drive business development discussions with relevant stakeholders
  
  

• Implement the FDI promotion process from initial lead generation to negotiation, securing investment and market expansion support
  
  

• Provide interpretation and liaise between investment promotion agencies and Chinese corporates
  
  

• Write regular meeting notes and reports in English for the investment promotion agencies
  
  

• Plan and support missions for investment promotion agencies in China

What you'll need

• Located in Beijing/Shanghai/Guangzhou
  
  

• Excellent spoken and written Chinese and English – to get complex ideas across from clients to customers and vice-versa
  
  

• An understanding of the Chinese business environment and investment promotion process – to identify the right companies and people to engage
  
  

• An interest in international business – to operate with multiple stakeholders across different cultures
  
  

• Demonstrable experience in business, sales and/or marketing in China – to bring your own flair to the job
  
  

• Willingness to grow your expertise and network in investment promotion
  
  

• 3+ years’ experience in foreign direct investment promotion
  
  

• Experience in doing business with the Middle East preferred
