Since 1990, Intralink has helped more than 700 companies develop and execute growth strategies in Japan.

Japan's emphasis on digital and green transformation is driving demand for enabling technologies. The same is true in healthcare, where an ageing population and a shrinking workforce are creating a need for new solutions in automation, robotics, telemedicine and much more.

We have vast experience across growth sectors, such as automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals and telecoms, and an unrivalled network that extends to VP and C-level executives inside Japan's largest corporations.

Our Tokyo-based team has helped our clients close deals worth many millions of dollars, from licensing arrangements with global OEMs to distribution agreements with local resellers.

Through our bilingual market and sector specialists, we are uniquely positioned to identify, qualify and convert the leading opportunities in the market.

Intralink have proved an excellent partner in Japan, enabling us to research a challenging and complex market.

Medical devices

As part of delivering an opportunity assessment for Owen Mumford’s highly innovative Unisafe® safety syringe in Japan, we facilitated an exhibition for the firm at Interphex Tokyo. It was through this that we first attracted interest from Nipro - one of Japan’s top medical device manufacturers.

We played an active role in not only managing the day-to-day interactions and deepening the relationship between Owen Mumford and Nipro, but negotiating the scope of the partnership. This resulted in an exclusive distribution agreement between the two parties in Japan.
