Korea
Our Seoul team can help you grow revenues in the Korean market.

Intralink has been helping companies with their market expansion strategies in Korea for over 20 years.
South Korea’s economy regularly ranks as one of the most innovative in the world and that dynamism has helped the country elbow its way to the front of the global pack in everything from electronics and semiconductors, through automotive and battery technologies and, more recently, biotechnology and the life sciences.
We have worked with clients across a wide range of key growth sectors to establish a foothold in the Korean market, either through a direct sales & licensing strategy or by establishing local sales channels.
We have also worked with many Korean clients – corporates, SMEs and venture-backed scaleups – to support their international innovation strategies or to help them enter new international markets.
Through our bilingual team of 25 market and sector experts, we have the experience, the know-how and the contacts to help companies succeed in this challenging but potentially very rewarding market.
In less than a week, we'd started sales activities in Korea - and this proactivity and flexibility were a clear demonstration of the commitment of the team.
Korea is a vital market and we needed the right expertise to accelerate our entry. With Intralink’s brand recognition and customer relationships, we're on the right trajectory for significant growth.

Client stories
Fuel cells
Ceres, a British company specialising in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology, already had a Korean partner. But the relationship was a difficult one and progress was slow.
We decided to take a different approach, focusing on potential new partners with a greater appetite and technical capacity to develop fuel cell products.
We identified an opportunity with Korea’s largest fuel cell player, Doosan, and ultimately enabled Ceres to license its technology to Doosan in a series of deals worth USD 57 million.
Precision medicine
We worked with San Francisco-based Syapse to engage Korea’s top 10 oncology hospitals and generate interest in its precision medicine system, which helps oncology clinicians analyse real-time patient data and tailor treatment plans.
As a result, Syapse signed an MOU to collaborate with Ajou University Hospital. The two parties will create a data sharing network, undertake R&D and develop a precision medicine platform to help provide the hospital’s patients with customised diagnosis and world-class cancer care.
AI technology
While the UX testing market in Korea hadn’t fully taken off yet, we quickly managed to demo Evolv’s product to some of the country’s top ecommerce players.
The initial interest we uncovered led to GS Shop (one of Korea’s top 5 ecommerce platforms) becoming Evolv’s first major customer in the market – a deal we signed in under 4 months.
LF Corp (fashion company, LG Group spin-off) became the 2nd major client soon after.
