Canada’s VueReal to accelerate microLED adoption in China

Quick navigation

We’re excited to be working with VueReal, a Canadian company pioneering the future of microLED displays, as it sets its sights on further expansion in China.

Based in Waterloo, Ontario, VueReal’s MicroSolid Printing™ platform enables microLEDs to be transferred and integrated directly onto a wide range of substrates – including glass, flexible films and silicon – more quickly, accurately and reliably than conventional methods.

The result: brighter, more energy-efficient and highly versatile displays that can be manufactured at scale with improved yield.

VueReal has recently secured more than C$58 million (US$40 million) in new funding to accelerate the commercialisation of its products and expand its global partnerships. Its technology has applications across automotive (dashboards, HUDs, signal and brake lighting), consumer electronics, AR/VR/MR and smart wearables.

Our Shanghai team will support VueReal in engaging China’s leading display makers – original design manufacturers (ODMs) and electronic manufacturing service (EMS) providers as well as major automotive OEMs and tier-one suppliers.

A core focus will be encouraging the adoption of VueReal’s Reference Design Kits to speed prototype development and derisk product programmes.

Rob Selley, VueReal’s Chief Commercial Officer, explained:

China represents one of the most exciting markets for advanced display technologies.

We see huge opportunities to create more partnerships to accelerate the adoption of our microLED technology – and Intralink’s experience, network and support will be vital in helping us increase our presence in the country.

Rob Selley, CCO, VueReal-1
