We’ve been appointed by Amprius Technologies, a Silicon Valley battery innovator, to support its expansion in South Korea.
Amprius develops high-performance silicon anode lithium-ion cells for the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), robotics, aerospace and electric mobility markets, where battery performance affects flight time, payload capacity, uptime and system range.

Amprius' silicon anode cells
The company is targeting significant growth opportunities in Korea, where rising defence expenditure is accelerating investment in next-generation drone technologies. Korean defence contractors are also exporting drone platforms and related technologies to allies in the Middle East, further underscoring the country’s strategic importance.
Amprius’ ultra-high energy density cells deliver longer drone flight times and extended operational life, reducing the need for frequent recharging. At the same time, they enable greater power output, supporting higher acceleration and heavier payloads. These performance advantages are highly valued by defence organisations and commercial operators, including those developing drone delivery services.
The company supplies its batteries directly to OEMs and collaborates with battery pack manufacturers to integrate its cells into broader systems.
To capitalise on the opportunities in Korea, Amprius established a manufacturing network there late last year, positioning itself close to potential customers.
Our Seoul team has now launched a dedicated business development programme to support Amprius’ expansion in the country. The initial phase of our work focuses on identifying and prioritising opportunities across Korea’s drone and robotics ecosystems. This will be followed by targeted engagement with prospective partners and customers, exploratory meetings and the development of a robust sales pipeline for Amprius.
Ronnie Tao, VP of Sales at Amprius, said: “Korea represents an important market for advanced battery technologies, driven by growing investments in drone and robotics innovation across both the defence and commercial sectors.
“To succeed in Asia, it’s essential to partner with local experts who not only understand how business is done but have deep networks in key industries. Intralink brings exactly this expertise to the table. We’re excited to collaborate with their team in Seoul to accelerate our growth and establish Amprius as a leader in Korea’s evolving UAV and robotics landscape.”
