Intralink has had a permanent presence in Taiwan since 2007 and has helped many international companies develop and execute sales, licensing, distribution and partnership strategies in the market.

With a population of 23 million and a per capita GDP to rival many European countries, Taiwan is an attractive market for western companies.

For the first time in 30 years, the island’s economy is growing faster on an annualised basis than that of mainland China. Domestic demand is strong, and electronic components, which form the lion’s share of Taiwanese exports, have benefited from strong global demand in the tech sector.

Taiwan is a global leader in the design and production of many products from semiconductors and laptop computers to advanced displays and next generation batteries. It is home to many global companies such as HTC, Acer, TSMC, MediaTek and Foxconn.

From our offices in Taipei, we are able to coordinate activities between ODMs in Taiwan, brand owners in Japan and Korea, and suppliers and contract manufacturers in mainland China.

Stewart Randall

General Manager

Born in the UK, Stewart Randall is General Manager of our Taiwan operation and heads our global Electronics & Embedded Software Practice.

Based in Asia for over a decade and fluent in Mandarin, he specialises in helping international technology companies – particularly in semiconductors, embedded software, EDA tools and related sectors – to develop and implement cross-border growth strategies and secure commercial deals in Asia. He’s also an avid writer on the semiconductor industry.
