We’re pleased to have secured a partnership deal for British flow control equipment specialist Oxford Flow – with Japanese fluid control valve provider VENN Co.
Oxford Flow manufactures precision valves and regulators, featuring a unique piston design developed at Oxford University.
We started working with the company in 2024, driving its growth in the Japanese market as part of its strategy to expand globally by collaborating with experienced players in priority regions.
VENN is one of Japan’s leading valve manufacturers. It’s known for producing high quality, durable products for a variety of industrial applications, including boiler equipment, heat exchangers and air conditioning systems.
The partnership with VENN marks a significant milestone for Oxford Flow, validating its technologies in one of the world’s most technically demanding, quality-driven industrial markets. It also provides a strong platform for the company to broaden its presence across Asia.
Japan’s ongoing investment in modernising ageing industrial infrastructure, alongside its growing adoption of advanced control and automation technologies, is driving demand for high-performance flow control solutions. These priorities align closely with Oxford Flow’s offering, which supports decarbonisation, hydrogen readiness and resilient energy infrastructure – helping operators improve efficiency, reduce emissions and enhance operational reliability.
Under the new agreement, VENN will distribute Oxford Flow’s full product portfolio, giving operators and major engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies access to industry-leading valve technology and technical expertise.
Neil Poxon, CEO of Oxford Flow, said: “Japan is an attractive market, thanks to its large, highly technical industrial base and its strong emphasis on safety, efficiency and engineering quality across gas and water infrastructure.
“A primary reason for seeking a partner in Japan is to gain access to the major Japanese EPCs, such as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which hold contracts with global oil and gas companies, particularly in the Middle East. VENN has strong connections here, opening up an important area of the market that we’re keen to develop. And we look forward to working with them as they bring value beyond distribution alone by supporting technical engagement and customer education.
“Intralink’s deep experience in Japan, understanding of local business protocols and extensive network of contacts were key to securing this important partnership.”
We’re happy to have helped achieve this deal and look forward to seeing Oxford Flow’s business continue to thrive in Japan and beyond.
