Intralink fuels AFC landmark deal in Korea

Seoul, South Korea — Intralink Korea Limited, the leading provider of business development services to western technology companies entering the Korean market, announced today that AFC Energy Plc., the UK-based developer of low-cost alkaline fuel cell technology, has signed a Project Development Agreement with Korean partners Samyoung and Changshin Chemical.

Under the agreement, AFC and its partners will establish a joint venture to build a 50MW fuel cell power plant which is forecast to generate revenues of US$1bn over ten years of operation.

On the ground Intralink Korea has provided us with invaluable support, enabling us to cut through language and cultural barriers and to facilitate commercial discussions at a local level.”

AFC Energy will sell its alkaline fuel cells into the joint venture and provide technical and operational advice. Samyoung will be responsible for engineering, construction and permitting and Changshin Chemical will supply the hydrogen, land and logistical support.
