Shortlisted from 38 companies, we arranged for four British companies to present their technologies to Filipino VC firm Kickstart Ventures.
Delivered in partnership with the British Embassy Manila through the UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme, the pitch focused on the themes of “The Frictionless Future” and “Smarter Living”, key pillars of Kickstart Ventures’ ACTIVE Fund – the Philippines’ largest venture capital fund backed by regional giants Ayala Corporation and Globe Telecom.
The companies that pitched were:
- Watergate: AI-enabled water management innovator and developer of the “world’s smartest stopcock”
- VividQ: Pioneer of an image processing platform to create advanced holographic displays and advertisements
- Audiostack: Creator of a platform that cuts audio production time through AI-powered tools
- AppyWay: Developer of an intelligent kerbside platform designed to streamline parking, charge point infrastructure and traffic management.
Mike Maté, General Partner at Kickstart Ventures, said:
“We actively seek out bold, value-creating tech startups that push innovation forward to benefit us and our partners. Our collaboration with the British Embassy Manila, supported by Intralink, reflects this mission, expanding our global reach and connecting us to markets where sustainable and purposeful innovation thrives.”

Overall, it was a great pitch session, full of opportunities for meaningful collaboration – and we’re excited to see how these relationships grow.
